In the steps of Ludovico Ariosto
Following in the foot- steps of the poet Ariosto, we go from the Este Castle where he was a frequent visitor, reading his verses for members of the court, to the Ducal palace, the setting for his first comedies. Other important places on this tour include Palazzo Paradiso where his tomb is located. This palace can be reached by way of the cathedral square and the Jewish ghetto.
In the Renaissance part of the city,the so called Addizione Erculea, it is possible to see the square with its column and statue of the poet. His home can also be visited, here we can read the following words “parva, sedapta mihi…”
